Three award-winning music masters from Hawaii are electrified to share their deep passion for their native hymn traditions in the MIM Music Theater. This MIM Music Theater event will be a gorgeous experience to learn more about the culture and traditions of Hawaii.
The first music master is Kahumoku. He was awarded four times with the international GRAMMY and won the national GRAMMY of his country multiple times. He truly is a master slack-key guitarist. In his country, he has therefore known also as the Hawaii’s Renaissance Man. On the international scene, he is well known as a musician, vocalist, storyteller, songwriter, author and teacher.
The second music legend is Uncle Richard Ho’opi’i. Uncle Richard is capable of electrifying and wowing his audience. He is a National Heritage Fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts and possesses unique talents that are ukulele and leo ki’eki’e (traditional Hawaiian falsetto singing). You should not miss him as he uses a yodeling style that is unique.
